Hamburg have told both Liverpool and Wigan that an offer of £12,500,000 for Eljero Elia will be accepted after the player has fallen out with current manager Armin Veh.
The sporting director Bastian Reinhardt said "As the current employer of Elia, we require at least 15 million Euros (£12,500,000) from potential buyers".
Liverpool also face stern competition from Wolfsburg, who have jst benefited from the sale of Edin Dzeko to Manchester City for £27,000,000, although there are reports that Elia prefers a move to the Premier League.
