New Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is rumoured to be preparing to move in for Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross and Utrecht striker Ricky Van Wolfswinkel in the January transfer window.
Dalglish is said to be keen to strenghten the squad, especially due to the current poor run of form Liverpool are currently going through, and both players are rumoured to be high up on Dalglish's shortlist.
Shawcross (23 years old) is currently impressive at Stoke City, and Van Wolfswinkel was a target of Roy Hodgson's during his time at Anfield, and Dalglish is now planning on continuing the push to sign the 21-year-old.
However, Liverpool will face competition to sign the striker, with Napoli rumoured to have have also bid for Van Wolfswinkel.
